Irene B. Rosenfeld has been the Chief Executive Officer of Kraft Foods Inc. and its division, Kraft Food Ingredients Corp. since June 2006 and Chairman since March 2007. Prior to Kraft Foods, Dr. Rosenfeld served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Frito-Lay North America, a Division of PepsiCo Inc., from September 2004 to June 2006. Prior to joining Frito-Lay, Dr. Rosenfeld spent 22 years in various capacities with Kraft Foods Inc. including as President, ... North American Businesses of Kraft Foods until July 2003. She served as Head of US and Canadian Operations of Frito-Lay. Ms. Rosenfeld had been employed continuously by Kraft Foods and its predecessor, General Foods Corporation, in various capacities from 1981 to 2003. Dr. Rosenfeld's general management experience at Kraft included Executive Vice President and General Manager roles in Beverages, and Desserts and Snacks businesses from 1991 to 1996. In 1996, she became President of Kraft Canada, Inc. She served as Group Vice President of Kraft Foods, and President of Operations, Technology, Procurement, R&D and information systems from May 2000 to September 2002. She began her career with Dancer Fitzgerald Sample Advertising (now Saatchi and Saatchi) in New York City in 1979. She serves as Director of Kraft Food Ingredients Corp. She has been a Director of Kraft Foods Inc. since June 2006. She served as a Director of Autonation Inc. and Frito-Lay North America. Dr. Rosenfeld was elected to the YWCA Academy of Women Achievers. She held the Chair of the Industry Affairs Council for Grocery Manufacturers of America, and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Food and Consumer Products Manufacturers of Canada. Dr. Rosenfeld serves as a Trustee of Cornell University. She served on the boards of Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Dr. Rosenfeld holds a PhD in Marketing and Statistics in 1980, an MS in Business in 1977 and a BA in Psychology in 1975 from Cornell University.
