Cris Collinsworth is a former football player in the NFL and a current television sportscaster.
He began his football career at The University of Florida as a wide receiver prior to joining the Cincinnati Bengals of the NFL. Cris played in the NFL with the Bengals from 1981 to 1988. Throughout his career, he played in three Pro Bowl games and two Super Bowls. After his eighth NFL season, Cris decided to retire.
After retirement, he began his broadcasting career as a sports radio talk show host for a station in Cincinnati. He then went on to report for HBO's Inside the NFL. In 1990, he joined the NBC Network as an NFL broadcaster before joining the FOX network in 1998.
His work as a broadcaster has earned him some awards and recognition. In April of 1998, he received a Sports Emmy Award as "Outstanding Studio Analyst." Just a year later, he received the same award. He is also a three time Sports Emmy Award winner for "Outstanding Sports Personality/Studio Analyst"
