Claude Staten Jr., a rising boxing superstar was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Growing up, Claude’s main supporters were his grandparents, Eleanor Farmer and Charles Staten. Claude attributes his good looks to his exotic Portuguese, Chinese, and Panamanian background. Claude dropped out of high school after his grandfather became extremely ill. When his grandfather passed away shortly after his sixteen birthday, he felt like he had truly lost his way. Claude wanted to be his own boss and did not desire to work for anyone else, and got caught up in the streets. Realizing he was going down the wrong path he decided to turn his life around. Claude Staten Jr. has always loved boxing and flirted with the sport as a child. Claude believes that boxing was his distraction from destruction. Remarkably talented, he decided to hone his skills and take boxing seriously. His amateur boxing career began in 2007, and since then he has fought in the New York Golden Gloves and has represented New York in the Golden Glove Nationals. Urban life cultivated his flamboyant life style, hard work ethic, and tough guy attitude. He also boasts of being an opponent’s worst nightmare because he has it all, a slick illusive style, lightning speed and shocking power. Staying true to his ostentatious swag, he makes a statement entering the ring, adorned in black shorts trimmed around the edges with Fox fur and boxing shoes also trimmed with fur. Claude is confident in his abilities and plans to become a world champion. Although Claude has been an amateur for only three years, he plans to master the sport as well as Pernell Whitaker, his favorite boxer. Claude also has big plans outside of the ring; through boxing, he plans to make a difference locally as well as internationally to help others who are less fortunate.
