Dr. Scott Sampson has opened the imaginations of kids everywhere with his tales about dinosaurs on PBS.  Sampson geared his message to an entirely different audience on Wednesday however.

Sampson spoke at the Conner Prairie annual business meeting in Indiana.  The presentation was held at the welcome center for the interactive history park and museum.

In addition to his speech, afterward, Sampson signed copies of his new book, "How to Raise a Wild Child".  It gives parents tips on how to engage their children with nature.

Sampson is simply known as "Dr. Scott" to fans of the Emmy-nominated show "Dinosaur Tales".  He is a noted dinosaur paleontologist who is currently the Vice President for Research and Collections as well as Chief Curator at the Denver Museum of Science and Nature.

Sampson has studied dinosaurs all over the globe and is particularly known for his work looking into the Late Cretaceous Period in Madagascar.  He is also known for studying the carnivorous theropod dinosaurs Majungasaurus and Masiakasaurus.

Sampson has a Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Toronto.  Before working at the Denver Museum, he spent time at the American Museum of Natural History and the Utah Museum of Natural History.
