J.A. Jance's murder mystery writing has built a significant fan base all across the country.  On Thursday, Jance made an appearance in Cottonwood, Arizona to sign copies of her latest work, "Clawback".

The book is part of the Ali Reynolds series which is based in the Arizona locales Sedona and Verde Valley.  In Clawback, Reynolds is on the hunt for a Ponzi scheme mastermind.

In addition to the book signing, Jance also made a presentation.  The event was held at the Cottonwood Recreation Center.

In addition to Reynolds, Jance has created the timeless literary characters J.P. Beaumont and Joanna Brady.  She has over 30 books to her name and has ten million copies in print.

Miraculously, Jance did not begin her bestselling career as a novelist until she was 39.  She defied the odds, writing in the early morning hours while working a life-insurance job to support her two children.

Jance supports a variety of causes including the American Cancer Society, the Humane Society, and the Girl Scouts.  She often raises money for a variety of charities by getting donations at her book signings.
