Several top-notch guests are set up for Kent State University at Stark's 2016-17 Speaker Series.  One of the esteemed guests who will be presenting is bestselling author Susannah Cahalan

Cahalan's appearance is set for February 15th at 7:30 p.m in the Timken Great Hall Conference Center on campus.  The title of her speech is "Brain on Fire", mirroring the book that has gained her great acclaim.

All series events are free, but tickets are required.  The registration for Cahalan's speaking engagement opens on January 23rd.

Cahalan is currently a news reporter at the New York Post.  She is the author of "Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness", which chronicles her bout with a rare autoimmune disease and how it almost ended her life.

Cahalan has been a reporter with the Post for over a decade.  She has covered many topics during her tenure, but mostly focuses on books for their Postscript section.

After graduating from Washington University, Cahalan worked her way from the bottom at the Post.  She started as a "copy kid" before being handed more important assignments.
