After the release of Truly, Madly, Guilty this month, Moriarty has penned seven adult novels. Her fifth book and U.S. debut release, "The Husband's Secret" became the #1 New York Times bestseller in 2013.
It stayed on the bestseller list for over a year and has sold three million copies worldwide. Moriarty's next novel, "Big Little Lies", also took the top spot on the NYT list.
The popularity of the book caught the eyes of Hollywood icon, Nicole Kidman, who purchased the film and television rights. A seven-episode HBO series based on the book will be released in the spring.
