Citizens of Edinburgh, Scotland with a quest for a greater understanding of space and space travel are in for a special treat.  On January 21st, Canada's first spacewalker, Chris Hadfield, will be in town to speak about his experiences.

Hadfield's 90-minute presentation will take place in Usher Hall.  In addition to his commentary, rare video footage from his personal collection will also be shown.

Premium level VIP meet and greet tickets for the event cost just over $100.  The other general admission price points are $50.30, $41.64, and 29.75.

Hadfield spent five months on the International Space Station as commander of Expedition 35.  Many people became familiar with him during this period for his frequent social media postings and guitar performances.

Following the recent passing of musician David Bowie, Hadfield's recording of Bowie's "Space Oddity" now has over 25 million hits on YouTube.  He retired after the ISS expedition, having put in 35 years as a military pilot and astronaut and participating in two other space shuttle missions.

Hadfield has received an extensive list of accolades, including being appointed to the Order of Canada and induction into Canada's Aviation Hall of Fame.  His memoir, An Astronaut;s Guide to Life on Earth, was a New York Times bestseller in 2013 and set him up well for a second career in motivational speaking.
