Tom Herman was born June 2, 1975 and is an American football coach and former player. He currently is the head football coach at the University of Houston.
On December 9, 2011, Urban Meyer selected Herman as his offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Buckeyes. On December 9, 2014, after leading Ohio State's fourth ranked offense while playing two backup quarterbacks, Herman was awarded the Broyles Award, given annually to the nation's top assistant coach.
On December 15, 2014, Herman was hired by Houston as its new head football coach.
