Steve Watson is an American actor. He is best known for his role as the host of Discovery Channel's reality program Monster House (2003–2006). He appeared on Ice Road Truckers during the "after" special and currently serves as host of HGTV's Don't Sweat It (2006–present).

Make no bones about it: Although he's handy with a sledgehammer, he's not just one of the crew. He's the boss, and he's the one making the hard decisions that will keep things on schedule and produce the results that will ensure happy homeowners.

He's Steve Watson, Monster House foreman.

Steve hasn't always wielded a hammer and saw, however. He started out honing his singing chops in musicals like Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera, then, after a brief stint at the University of Tennessee, landed a national Levi's commercial, followed by another for Coca-Cola. After that it was goodbye, Chattanooga; hello, Atlanta.

In Atlanta Steve worked steadily, making appearances in TV shows such as In the Heat of the Night and To Dance With the White Dog. But more importantly, he bought a house, and like a lot of homeowners, ended up faced with a lot of home-improvement projects. After buying some construction manuals and visiting a few lumberyards and hardware stores, he was able to rebuild the house " and learn a new trade. A trade that came in handy when Steve moved to L.A. and had a few income gaps to fill in between acting and stand-up comedy gigs.

But soon enough, Steve heard through his manager's assistant about a new extreme remodeling show in search of a host with a sense of humor and a knowledge of construction. With over three years of stand-up under his belt when this opportunity came along, Steve threw his hard hat into the ring, and the rest is Monster House history.
