Robert Gamez is a member of the PGA Tour. He attended the University of Arizona where he was a member of the golf team and the 1989 Walker Cup team.
Later that year, in 1989, Robert turned professional. His career started off very fast, winning two tournaments in his rookie season on Tour. After getting injured in a car accident in 1998, his play began to decline.
His career hit a low in 2001, when he failed to qualify for the Tour. He turned his game around and earned a victory at the 2005 Valero Open.
Each year, he hosts his own golf tournament in Celebration, Florida for the benefit of the Robert Gamez Foundation. He currently lives in Orlando, Florida.
