He was a three-year starter for the Louisville Cardinals. He moved from cornerback to free safety as a freshman. Made 233 career tackles, 177 solos, 15 interceptions for 159 yards, 13 passes defensed, three fumble recoveries, three fumbles forced and six blocked kicks. Also averaged 9.1 yards on 18 punt returns. Closed out his strong collegiate career with 95 tackles, four thefts for 61 return yards, 10 passes defensed, three fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles. As a junior, he amassed 108 tackles and a school-record eight interceptions. Was the Fiesta Bowl Defensive MVP vs. Alabama with a fumble recovery for a touchdown off a blocked punt and another recovered fumble in a 34-7 victory. Played in East-West, Blue-Gray and Hula Bowl all-star games.

Played in 12 league games with 11 starts at CB for Atlanta. Finished with 50 tackles, two interceptions, one forced fumble and 11 passes defensed while starting 11 of 12 games played. Started both playoff games.

2001: Started all 16 games for fifth consecutive season at CB and his five interceptions tied for Atlanta team lead ... Finished second to LB Keith Brooking in both total tackles and solo stops. Led the team in passes defensed with 14 and added a fumble recovery and forced fumble to his season totals.

2000: Started in all 16 games for fourth consecutive season and led the Falcons in interceptions with six. He finished third on team in tackles with 99, third highest single-season total in career and second on club in passes defensed.

1999: Started in all 16 games for Falcons ... Led the team in passes defensed with 12 ... Picked off a team-leading four passes for 81 return yards ... Posted 87 total tackles, fifth-highest on club, with 65 solo stops to tie for thirdhighest on the defense.

1998: Started every game for Falcons, including Super Bowl XXXIII vs. DEN and was team leader with seven interceptions for 102 return yards and with 18 passes defensed. Credited with 73 tackles and a forced fumble.

1997: Team leader in interceptions with five and passes defensed with 15 in 16 starts in first season in Atlanta.  All five picks came in the second half of the season. Finished with 65 tackles and 48 solo stops.

1996: Started every game at CB in final season with Colts ... Ranked sixth on team and third among DBs with 105 tackles. Paced team with 18 passes defensed. Amassed two interceptions, one sack and a fumble recovery. Averaged 7.1 yards per punt return.

1995: Started in all 16 games for Indianapolis, posting 105 tackles ... Made two interceptions for 60 return yards ... Also had 18 passes defensed and one fumble recovery, added a sack. He returned a career-high 16 punts for 113 yards with a long of 17 and returned one kickoff for 22 yards. Had an interception return of 60 yards at NO, the second longest of his career.

1994: Started first 10 games at FS for Colts before opening at LCB for final six games.1993: In rookie season with Colts, made Football News All-Rookie team by starting the final five contests at free safety and ending up with 65 tackles, second on the team's list of DBs, with a team-high four picks.
