Patricia Schroeder worked in congress for 24 years. Schroeder ran for President but had to remove herself from the race due to lack of funds.
Schroeder graduated magna cum laude in 1961 from the University of Minnesota. She went on to Harvard Law School where she was 1 of only 15 women in a class of more than 500 men.
Schroeder was also the head of the women's committee in Congress. She is the author of two books: "Champion of the Great American Family" and "24 Years of Housework...and the Place Is Still a Mess".
She is in the National Women's Hall of Fame and the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame.
