After leaving Washington College in 1977, Mary Ellen Lipinski Miller spent her entire career as a writer and editor, mostly at Johns Hopkins medical institutions. In fact, Sue De Pasquale, who won the Sophie Ker Prize in 1987, was her office mate for several years.
She was the winner of the 1977 Sophie Kerr Award.
She grew up in Baltimore and is now living in Ellicott City, MD, with her three sons and her husband of 25 years.
