Mack Brown (born August 27, 1951), is the head coach of the University of Texas football team. Success hasn't always come easy for Mack Brown but lately that trend has changed. In 2005, Brown led the Longhorns to a national championship victory over the University of Southern California. Most recently, Brown was awarded the Paul "Bear" Bryant Award for "Coach of the Year" in 2006.
Brown's resume is extensive. He has been the head coach of Appalachian State, Tulane, and North Carolina before falling in the laps of the Longhorns. He has his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and his graduate degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Mack Brown has become one of the most consistent and well respected coaches in the game. In his past 16 seasons, Brown has led his team to consecutive winning seasons. It's safe to say Mack Brown has found success on and off the football field.
