Eric Wedge is the current manager of the Cleveland Indians and is currently the youngest acting manager. He played collegiate baseball at Wichita State University and was a catcher. He advanced to the major leagues for sporadic play from 1991 to 1994, primarily as a designated hitter for the Boston Red Sox. Before becoming the manager of the Indians, he managed the team's AAA-division Buffalo Bisons. He replaced interim manager Joel Skinner at the beginning of the 2003 season. Eric also donates his time for an annual camp in his hometown of Fort Wayne, IN. Eric will be entering his third year hosting this camp and has positively affected the lives of hundreds of young athletes in Fort Wayne.
