Dr. Charlie Bishop has held senior level executive positions at a number of premier organizations including ADT Security Services, Quaker Oats, NationsBank, Baxter International and Federal Express. It was at these firms that he played a major role in the launch and maturation of their quality programs, and developed his unique "personal change capacity" model.
From 1978-82, Dr. Charlie Bishop was the Vice President of Organization Development at Federal Express, where he gained an early reputation for engineering the Apply programs that played a key role in Federal Express being granted the Baldridge Award. He is recognized as the designer and implementer of Federal Express' approach to people.
Dr. Charlie Bishop was a senior executive at Baxter International from 1982-90, where he was responsible for the implementation of quality and operations improvement programs. Additionally, he was on the faculty at the Medical College of Georgia as a practitioner, and played a major role in the launch of their patient care/quality improvement program.
Since 1990 he has played a major role in two of the largest changes in U.S. banking history: namely, the creation of C&S/Sovran and now the merger into Nations Bank. In the newly formed Nations Bank, quality and customer satisfaction are considered primary ingredients for success.
Presently, Dr. Charlie Bishop is President of Chicago Change Partners, a consulting firm that provides a range of individual and organizational change services to major companies nationwide. With his many years of large scale organization change experience, Dr. Charlie Bishop can provide insights, real world experience and practical tools to an organization or an executive who is involved in recruiting an organization.
Charlie Bishop holds a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia and is a member of the Human Resources Planning Society and the American Psychological Association.
