From 1992 to 1995, he served as Vice President at Hempel Hai Hong Ltd. (Hong Kong). From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Engel served as President at Hempel Norge AS (Norway). From 1997 to 1999, he served as President at Hempel Hai Hong Ltd. (China). From 1999 to 2000, Mr. Engel served as Executive Vice President at Hempel A/S (Denmark) and from 2000 to 2005, he served as the Group President and Chief Executive Officer at Hempel A/S (Denmark). He has a comprehensive international business skillset and leadership experience from executive positions based in The Netherlands, UK, Hong Kong, Denmark and Norway. Mr. Engel serves as a Board Member of HSA (Danmark) A/S and Hempel Contractors A/S. He served as a Member of the Board of TORM A/S (formerly Aktieselskabet Dampskibsselskabet Torm) from April 22, 2002 to April 17, 2007. He attended the General Management Program - INSEAD (France) in 1997 and received a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Accounting from Copenhagen Business School (Denmark) in 1990.
