Dave Stone is Senior Pastor of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, where he preaches Truth to more than 22,000 people each weekend. A gifted communicator, Dave is passionate about helping parents hone their tools to build strong families. In 1983, Stone graduated from Cincinnati Christian University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Christian ministries. While pursuing studies in ministry, he developed a passion for connecting with young people and their families.
In 1981, Stone became youth minister for Shively Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, where he held that post until 1985. From 1985-1989, Stone assumed the role of Director of Recruitment at Cincinnati Christian University, setting record-breaking enrollment numbers for the university. Since 1989, Dave Stone has served as a minister for Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky, serving in various roles throughout his ministry. In 2006, Stone became senior pastor of the church, where he enjoys leading and influencing the diverse families in his congregation. Whether Dave is speaking or writing, he has the unique ability to touch both your heart and your funny bone through his practical life lessons. Preaching may be his gift, but Dave’s family is his life’s blessing. He and his wife, Beth, have been married for 27 years and have three children: Savannah, Sadie, and Sam; and a son-in-law, Patrick. Dave believes the most practical way to spread the gospel is through moms and dads who model a genuine faith for their children.
As a longtime minister, Stone knows that the key to the future of the church is to raise faithful and joyful kids. Dave is the author of the “Faithful Families” series (Thomas Nelson, May 2012), which offers parents creative ideas, real-life stories, and Scriptural guidance for building families that love God and enjoy being together.
