Award winning journalist Campbell Brown is the founder and editor-in-chief of The Seventy Four: a non-profit, non-partisan news site that pursues stories about the education of America’s 74 million children in honest and relentless terms.

Prior to launching The Seventy Four, Brown founded the Partnership forEducational Justice (PEJ), a coalition of parents pushing for great public schools through advocacy and legal action. Before PEJ, Brown founded and led the Parents’ Transparency Project, a watchdog group that investigates and reports on failures and inequality in the public education system.

Brown began her career as a journalist covering stories around the globe for CNN and NBC News, where she was recognized for her outstanding reporting on a range of issues and topics including the 2000 Presidential election and Hurricane Katrina. Brown has also written for The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Daily Beast, and Slate.

Brown serves on the boards of Success Academy Charter Schools and the Jewish Community Project, a preschool and community center in Lower Manhattan. She is married to Daniel Senor and has two sons.
