USA Today called it "An emotionally and politically rich novel . . . The Submission raises wrenching post-9/11 questions about what it means to be an American . . . [Waldman's] novel transcends ideological politics."

Amy was a reporter for The New York Times from 1997 through 2005, including three years as co-chief of the New Delhi bureau.
