Aly Wagner was a professional American soccer player. While a member at Santa Clara University, she began playing with the U.S. Women's National Team. In 2001, Aly led Santa Clara to a NCAA Women's Championship where she scored the only goal of the game. She was named the 2002 College Player of the Year.
In the 2003 Women's United Soccer Association draft, Aly was the first player selected. After her first season with the San Diego Spirit, she was traded to the Boston Breakers.
Some of Aly's awards include a 2004 Olympic gold medal, 2003 World Cup bronze medal, and a two-time Algarve Cup gold medal.
