As CEO of Starbucks, Howard Schultz's business is not just limited to the United States.  Schultz visited India last Thursday to check in how business was doing in one of the world's largest countries.

He visited with the new CEO of Starbucks joint partner in India, Tata Global Beverages.  They toured the operation and met with employees and executives.

Schultz went to India's flagship Starbucks at Mumbai's Horminan Circle.  He also carved out time to speak to Tata Group CEO's and managers as part of their thought leadership forum.

Schultz has worked for Starbucks since 1982, originally starting out as their Director of Marketing.  After briefly leaving the company, he became CEO in 1987 and has served two stints in that role.

In 2011, Schultz was named Fortune Magazine's Businessperson of the Year.  He is an author of three books and the co-founder of the Schultz Family Foundation.

Prior to their relocation to Oklahoma City, Schultz owned the Seattle SuperSonics.  He has also been on the Board of Directors at Square, Inc.
