IBM released a series of new commercials last night during the Academy Awards and one of them stars Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher.  The spots also feature the company's iconic mascot Watson.

In the Fisher ad, Watson sits in on a robot group therapy session hosted by the actress.  The commercial is titled "Coping With Humans".

The tagline at the end of the ad says "IBM Watson works with humans to outthink challenges".  It is just another sign of Fisher's career renaissance in light of the reboot of the Star Wars franchise.

Fisher starred as Princess Leia in the original trilogy beginning in 1977.  She reprised her role in this holiday season's record-breaking film The Force Awakens.

After Star Wars  launched her career, Fisher has appeared in films consistently over the past 30 plus years.  She also has acted as a script doctor, sharpening the lines for over 20 films.

Fisher is an accomplished writer as well.  Her semi-autobiographical novel "Postcards from the Edge" was a bestseller in 1987 and she wrote the screenplay for the 1990 film of the same name.
