Nick Offerman may be best known for his role on "Parks and Recreation", but he has also built a strong career as an author.  Tomorrow, he will be in the Chicago suburb of Naperville for an exciting release even for his newest work.

Offerman will celebrate the release of his second book, "Gumption".  The event begins at 7 p.m. at Wentz Concert Hall on the North Central College campus.

Offerman will discuss the book, take audience questions, and sign copies of it.  The signing is being sponsored by Anderson's Bookshop and attendees must bring their ticket for the event.

From 2009-2015, Offerman starred as Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation.  In 2011, he won the Television Critics Association Award for Individual Achievement in Comedy.

Since Parks, Offerman has continued his success.  He appeared in five episodes of the hit FX series "Fargo" last year and was nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category at the Critics' Choice Television Award.

Offerman has been one of the top comedic actors in Hollywood since the late 1990's.  Recently, he has added bestselling author to his repertoire with the release of his first book, "Paddle Your Own Canoe".
