Number One Bestselling Author Cassandra Clare Holds Los Angeles Book Signing

It is not every day someone gets the chance to meet an author who has seen their work shoot to the top of the New York Times bestseller list.  Cassandra Clare is one of those novelists that has risen to the top spot and last week she held a book signing in Los Angeles.  

Clare was on hand at The Grove on March 8th to sign copies of "Lady Midnight".  The book is in her series "The Dark Artifices" which is the third series in "The Shadowhunter Chronicles".

The event had more star power in attendance than just Clare.  The cast of "The Shadowhunters" TV series which was adapted from her work was also there for support. 

Clare specializes in young adult fiction.  She has had several book series, most notably "The Mortal Instruments".  

The first published novel from the set, City of Bones, hit the bestseller list in 2007. That book and series were made into a film "The Motal Instruments: City of Bones" in 2013.  

Clare has received no shortage of awards in her relatively brief writing career.  In 2010, she won the Georgia Peach Book Awards for Teen Readers and the Abraham Lincoln Illinois High School Book Award just to name a few.
