As a star of the hit show "Nashville", actor Charles Esten was right at home last week at CMA Fest. He held an autograph signing on Thursday at Second Avenue.
There were several stars from the show present during CMA Fest. While ABC has canceled the series after four seasons, there is a strong possibility that the program gets greenlit for a fifth year on another network.
CMA Fest ran Thursday through Sunday and featured a record-setting daily attendance of 88,500 fans. There were over 500 artists in attendance.
Esten has starred as Deacon Claybourne on Nashville. Much of his performance background is steeped in comedy however.
From 1999-2005, Esten was a regular on the sketch comedy show "Whose Line Is It Anyway". He has made several other TV appearances on shows like "Cheers", "NYPD Blue" and "ER".
Esten also has significant film experience. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from William & Mary.
