Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo Becomes Brand Ambassador for ghd

Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo is one of the top beauty and style influencers in the world.  The premium styling tools company, ghd, is looking to capitalize on her popularity. 

They have signed Culpo as their newest brand ambassador.  She was introduced in concert with their newest campaign, "Maximize Impact, Minimize Damage."

Culpo said in a statement she is excited to work with ghd because she is a longtime fan of the company's products.  Ghd has been in operation since 2001 and has been an innovator ever since.  

In 2012, Culpo became the first ever contestant from Rhode Island to win the Miss USA pageant. She went on to also win the title of Miss Universe in the same year. 

Culpo became the first U.S. woman crowned Miss Universe since 1997.  During her reign, she traveled to several countries advancing her platform. 

Amazingly, Culpo won the first pageant she ever entered, the 2012 Miss Rhode Island USA competition.  She is a native of Cranston, Rhode Island and currently resides in New York City.
