One of the favorites in the travel television world was in San Francisco yesterday for a book signing. Man v. Food host Adam Richman made a trip to the Bay Area to autograph copies of "Straight up Tasty: Meals, Memories and Mouthfuls from My Travels".
Richman's appearance was at the Union Square Williams-Sonoma at 6 p.m. For $35.85, fans got a spot in line for the signing and a copy of the book.
There is no doubt that a large crowd of devotees showed up to meet Richman. Wherever he goes, he attracts a large following of food enthusiasts.
Richman made it big with Man v. Food, the program that skyrocketed to the top of Travel Channel in popularity. It ran for four seasons and featured his cross-country treks in search of America's greatest food challenges.
Since that initial television success, Richman has gone on to host programs for the Travel Channel and other networks. Currently, "Secret Eats with Adam Richman" is in its second season.
Twice, Richman has won the CableFax Award for Best Host. He also has a passion for acting and has made appearances in a number of theater productions in New York.
