Hispanic Journalist Armando Lucas Correa Holds Los Angeles Book Signing January 19th

One of the top Hispanic journalists is releasing his first novel. Armando Lucas Correa based "The German Girl" on a true story about a transatlantic ship that brought 900 Jewish refugees from Germany to Cuba in 1939. 

On January 19th, Correa will hold a book presentation and signing in Los Angeles. The event takes place at the Mark Taper Auditorium inside the Los Angeles Central Library. 

A large portion of the talk will be in Spanish, but there will be English parts as well. The German Girl will be available for purchase and proceeds will benefit the Los Angeles Public Library. 

Correa is Editor-In-Chief of People en Espanol. In his role, he oversees a publication that is the top-selling Hispanic magazine in the U.S. and boasts over seven million monthly readers. 

In addition to guiding the content of the magazine, Correa also is in charge of PeopleEnEspanol.com as well as the company's social media strategy and live events. His journalism career began in Cuba as the editor of a national theater and dance magazine, Tablas. 

Correa has received awards from the National Association of Hispanic Publications and the Society of Professional Journalism. He lives in New York City.
