The successful actor and producer John Ratzenberger is heading to Milford, Connecticut this January.  Ratzenberger has been named the keynote speaker for the city’s Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting on January 27th.

Individual tickets cost $59 and eight and ten-person tables are also available.  Those wanting seats for the luncheon can call the Milford Chamber of Conference.

Ratzenberger is best remembered as the lovable mailman Cliff Clavin on NBC’s “Cheers”.  The character became known throughout the show’s lengthy run for his random spouts of useless trivia.

Following the success of Cheers, Ratzenberger became known for his voice work.  He is a staple of films in the Pixar franchise, most notably voicing Hamm the Piggy Bank in the Toy Story series.

In addition to his roles on TV and film, Ratzenberger spends his time now advocating for the rights of skilled laborers.  His passion for that cause led him to produce and star in the Travel Channel series, “Made in America.”

Ratzenberger also co-authored A Common Man’s Salute to an Uncommon Country.  He gained an appreciation for tough jobs by working as a carpenter and fishing boat deckhand prior to making it big in the entertainment business.
