One of television most beloved all-time characters is Eddie Munster from the 1960's series "The Munsters".  The actor who played the role made an appearance this weekend at the 33rd Mid-American Street Rod Nationals this weekend.

Butch Patrick brought out some Munster vehicles that he has owned for about a year.  The event was held at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri.

It was an easy trip for Patrick, who lives in Macon, Missouri.  He was able to meet with several fans and sign autographs.

Patrick became a child star when he got the role of Eddie Munster.  He starred in the totality of The Munsters series run on CBS from 1964-66 and in the 1966 film, "Munster, Go Home".

Following his Munsters run, Patrick went on to guest star in many of the hit series of the 1960's.  He also landed a leading role in the ABC kids program "Lidsville" from 1971-73.

Throughout the years, Patrick has continued to act while settling into a more regular life as well.  Perhaps his lasting legacy however is that the Munsters has remained relevant for an entirely new audience to enjoy today.
