Disease Expert Peter Hotez Holds Book Signing in Houston October 18th

One of the foremost experts on disease in the United States is making a stop in Houston for a book signing next month.  Peter Hotez will be at Brazos Bookstore on October 18th at 7 p.m. 

Hotez will sign copies of, "Blue Marble Health: An Innovative Plan to Fight Diseases of the Poor amid Wealth".  The book was officially published on August 2nd. 

Those who purchase copies of the book through the store gain admittance to the event.  The book retails for $28.95. 

Hotez is the dean of Baylor College of Medicine's National School of Tropical Medicine.  In addition, he serves as the president of the Sabin Vaccine Institute and the Texas Children's Hospital Endowed Chair in Tropical Pediatrics. 

Hotez also works at Rice University as a Baker Institute Fellow in Disease and Poverty.  Last year, he was chosen to be a US Science Envoy for the State Department and the White House.  

Blue Marble Health is Hotez's second book.  He is Co-Editor in Chief of PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases.
