Comedian Paul Reiser Performs at Bobby Collins Charity Project

Paul Reiser is coming to Hermosa Beach, California for a good cause.  He will be one of two performers taking the stage for Bobby Collins' Project "Comics for a Cause".

Comics for a Cause will be held at The Hermosa Comedy and Magic Club on March 23rd beginning at 8 p.m.  The event benefits Zeno Mountain Farm.  

In addition to Reiser, longtime Tonight Show host Jay Leno will also perform.  General admission tickets are $75 and VIP passes that include a meet and greet with the comedians are $150. 

Reiser's comedy career has its foundation in stand-up.  Comedy Central ranked him 77th on their 2004 list of the "100 Greatest Stand-ups of All-Time".

While Reiser may have begun on the stage, he gained wider popularity through his appearances in television and film.  In 1982, he experienced his breakout with an appearance in the film "Diner".

It was Reiser's role in the 1990's sitcom that he co-created, "Mad About You", that gave him his greatest acclaim, however.  For his portrayal of Paul Buchman, he received four consecutive Golden Globe and six consecutive Primetime Emmy nominations.
