Comedian Larry the Cable Guy Headlines List of Celebrities Attending the Diamond Resorts Invitational

Stars from almost ever walk of life are scheduled to attend this month's Diamond Resorts Invitational in Orlando, Florida.  While there will be many sports stars present, comedian Larry the Cable Guy leads a pack of celebrities that will compete in the nationally televised golf tournament.

The Diamond Resorts Invitational runs January 12-17 and is packed with events.  A 500,000 purse will be awarded following the conclusion of the 54-hole celebrity tournament. 

Proceeds from the invitational benefit Florida Hospital for Children.  Actors Alfonso Ribeiro and John O'Hurley and country music star Jake Owen are some of the other celebrities who dot the field. 

Larry the Cable Guy is making a homecoming of sorts to the Central Florida area after living for many years in Sanford, Florida.  He rose to fame with the Blue Collar Comedy Tour and his own individual stand-up appearances.

Synonymous with the catchphrase, "Git-R-Done!", Larry the Cable Guy has crafted a comedic character that is timeless.  He has released seven comedy albums, three of which became RIAA gold certified.  

Larry the Cable Guy has appeared in several films and voices the character Mater in the Cars movie franchise.  He also hosted the show Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy on the History Channel from 2011-2013.
