Author C.J. Box has had a lot of milestones in his literary career.  Last month, his latest novel, "Off the Grid", debuted at number one on The New York Times bestseller list.

The following Saturday, the Montana native held a book signing in Sheridan.  All of his books were available for purchase in advance of the signing at Sheridan Stationary.

The signing began at 3 p.m.  Box promoted the signing on the Sheridan Media show, Public Pulse.

In addition to the Joe Pickett books, Box has penned several stand-alone novels.  His first, Blue Heaven, won the Edgar Award for Best Mystery Novel for 2008.

This year, the National Cowboy National awarded Box the Western Heritage Award for Literature.  He originally grew up in Casper and graduated with a bachelor's degree in mass communications from the University of Denver.
