Children’s Author Jeff Kinney Holds Book Signing in Los Angeles

Jeff Kinney is one of the most beloved children's authors in America.  On November 16th, he is making a book signing appearance in Los Angeles that is sure to excite many of his fans in the area. 

Kinney is scheduled to be at Sinai Temple from 5-7 p.m.  He will be signing copies of his new book, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid #11".

Kinney originally thought of the idea for the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series in 1998.  It started as a daily online story in 2004 and the first book was published in 2007. 

The first book was an instant bestseller and there are now over 180 million copies of books from the series printed worldwide.  The web edition has been visited by over 80 million people and gets 70,000 readers per day. 

There have been three films created based on the books.  Kinney has been named to Time's list of the most influential people in the world and has won two Children's Choice Book Awards.
