Chicago is going to pack the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheater in Tampa on Saturday night, but before they do that, the rock band will participate in a book signing. The group will sign copies of their new book, "Chicago's Legacy of Rock, Horns, and Hits".
From 5-6 p.m., Chicago will be across the street at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino for the book signing. They will take the stage on the latest concert of their 50th-anniversary tour 90 minutes following the session.
The signing is free and books will be available on-site for $25. There will be footage of the band playing in the Hard Rock Cafe throughout the signing.
This is a big year for Chicago. They will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on April 8th.
Chicago has sold over 100 million records during their tenure and is the second most successful American band in history when it comes to the Billboard singles and albums chart list. They have scored 21 top-ten singles and five number-one albums.
Their debut double album, Chicago Transit Authority, was released in 1969 and sold over a million copies in the first year. They have always mixed and matched musicians in the group, but Lee Loughnane, James Pankow, Walter Parazaider, and Robert Lamm have been around since the band's founding.
