Celebrity Designer Thom Filicia Holds Michigan Meet and Greet Next Week

Thom Filicia has built a strong reputation and is one of the most well-known celebrity designers in the U.S.  Next week, he will hold a special meet and greet celebrating his new partnership with a luxury furniture line. 

On June 15th, Filicia will be in Downers Grove, Illinois from 7-9 p.m. at the Scott Shuptrine Interiors Downers Grove Gallery.  Through Art Van Furniture, he has his own Thom Filicia Home Collection within the Scott Shuptrine Interiors division.  

During the meet and greet, Filicia will also sign copies of his book, "American Beauty: Renovating and Decorating a Beloved Retreat".  The event is free and open to the public.

Filicia became well known to a greater portion of the country through his starring role on the hit Bravo series "Queer Eye".  The show ran for five seasons from 2003-2007 and won an Emmy for Outstanding Reality Program in 2004. 

After working for several highly-regarded design firms, Filicia took his career to a new level by the founding of Thom Filicia, Inc in 1998.  Since he has consulted for celebrities like Tina Fey and Jennifer Lopez. 

Elle Decor named Filicia one of their top "25 A-list Designers" in 2011.  He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Syracuse University.
