Celebrity Chef Marcus Samuelsson Wraps Up Book Signing Tour This Week

Celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson is touring the country promoting his newest cookbook. "The Red Rooster Cookbook: The Story of Food and Hustle in Harlem," gives some of his most traditional recipes to the masses.

The book tour started on October 19th in San Francisco.  Samuelsson has also made stops in Seattle, Washington D.C., Chicago and Minneapolis. 

He still has stops on November 2nd in Los Angeles and November 5th in Austin.  Many of his events also include demonstrations or speaking presentations. 

Samuelsson serves as head chef and owns Red Rooster Harlem, Ginny's Supper Club and Streetbird, all based in the New York City area.  He has won two James Beard Awards, including Rising Star Chef in 1999 and Best Chef in New York City in 2003. 

More recently, Samuelsson has appeared on "Chopped" as a judge.  He was the winner of "Top Chef Masters" in 2010 and "Chopped All-Stars: Judges Remix". 

In 2009, Samuelsson was the guest chef for President Barack Obama's first state dinner.  His culinary excellence is fueled by a unique background of being born in Ethiopia and raised in Sweden.
