Burlesque Artist Dita Von Teese Holds Book Signing in Orange County

Yesterday, Orange County native Dita Von Teese returned to her roots for a book signing.  The burlesque artist signed copies of her new beauty guide, "Your Beauty Mark:The Ultimate Guide to Eccentric Glamour" at the Barnes & Noble in Huntington Beach, California.

In the book, she gives several of her own tips and other notable biographical anecdotes.  She also tells stories about the history of Hollywood glamor.  

Wristbands for the 7 p.m. signing were available starting at 9 a.m. Those who wished to attend had to purchase a copy of the book from the store.  

Von Teese is credited with repopularizing the burlesque performance style.  She began performing in 1992, but had a breakthrough Playboy cover a decade later.  

Von Teese has had roles in flims, music videos, and television shows.  She is also a mainstay of the fashion world, often being seen in the front row of shows or on the catwalk. 

With women everywhere looking to replicate her style and beauty, Von Teese has released a clothing line and a lingerie line.  In the past, she has been an advocate for PETA.
