Banana Republic Names Reality Star Olivia Palermo New Brand Ambassador

One of the better-known reality TV stars is becoming a global style ambassador for Banana Republic. The top retail brand signed Olivia Palermo to give their products a boost.
Banana Republic is also hoping that Palermo adds some fashion credibility. She will be featured in a global marketing campaign that launches this fall and focuses on the company's tailored fit.
Palermo curated some of her own limited-edition pieces that were available to buy at New York Fashion Week this past weekend. They will also be sold online and at Banana Republic's Flatiron store.
Palermo became well known through the show, "The City". It aired for two seasons on MTV from 2008-2010 and followed the lives of New York City socialites.
In addition, Palermo has done high-level modeling work, appearing on the covers of Elle Mexico, Tatler, ASOS Magazine and Marie Claire UK. She has been a guest judge on Project Runway and the British and Irish versions of Next Top Model.
Palermo was named the best dressed New Yorker of Page Six in 2012. During her time on the show and since she has worked in a variety of capacities for online media properties covering fashion.
