This week, award-winning author Lauraine Snelling held a special event in Wisconsin.  She was in Fon du Lac at Annie's Fountain City Cafe for a book signing and discussion on Tuesday.

The festivities ran from 5-7 p.m.  She gave a 30-minute presentation and also participated in a question and answer segment with the audience.

There was a wide away of Norwegian dishes from Snelling's family recipes that were also served at the event.  It was just one event on a 2016 book tour she is taking.

Snelling has been the author of over 80 books and has sold more than two million copies.  In 1982, Snelling released her first book, "Tragedy on the Toutle".

Many of her books are stories about horses that are geared towards young female readers.  She has also written historical fiction books and even pieces of non-fiction.

In 2014, Snelling received the Romantic Times Career Achievement award for Inspirational Fiction.  She frequents many writer's conferences across the country, mentoring a new generation of authors.
