Last Wednesday, fans of author Victoria Schwab in the Chicago-area got a special treat.  She held a signing for her new book, "This Savage Song", in Naperville.

The session took place at 7 p.m. at Anderson's Bookshop.  Anderson's is one of the more active places in the country for top author book signings.

Individuals interested in attending were able to purchase tickets in advance for the event.  Schwab met a large crowd interested in interacting with her and taking home a cherished keepsake.

Schwab is a young adult fiction and fantasy writer.  She is best known for her first adult novel, "Vicious", which tells the story of two college students who create superhuman abilities and later become enemies.

Vicious is currently being adapted for film.  In 2014, the American Library Association's Reference and User Services Association named it their top fantasy book.

Schwab's first book was published in 2011.  In addition to writing under her given name, she also assumes the pen name V.E. Schwab on several books.
