Author Steve Berry Holds Writer's Workshop at the Amelia Island Book Festival

This weekend marks the Amelia Island Book Festival in Florida. One of the unique events is happening Friday with a writer's workshop hosted by author Steve Berry.
Berry's "Lessons From a Bestseller" benefits Authors in Schools. It takes place from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Bean Technical Center at the Nassau Campus of Florida State College at Jacksonville.
No matter what your skill level, one can benefit from Berry's four-hour presentation. Tickets cost $175 and $125 for students.
Berry's road to historical thriller book writer is an interesting one. He was a trial lawyer for 30 years and an elected official during 14 of those years.
All throughout, he was ardently trying to get his novels published and experienced 85 rejections before finally getting a yes. Now, he has over 18 million books in print.
Also, his books have been sold in 51 countries and translated into over 40 languages. Berry has received the Royden B. Davis Distinguished Author Award and is on the Smithsonian Libraries Advisory Board.
