Actor Jason Segel Holds Chicagoland Book Signing Thursday

On Thursday, one of Hollywood's biggest stars will be in the Chicago area for a book signing.  Jason Segel is holding a discussion and signing in Downers Grove at Tivoli Theatre. 

The event will center around Segel's new book, "Nightmares!: The Lost Lullaby!".  This is the third book in the Nightmares series that he co-writes with Kirsten Miller. 

Tickets to the event include a book and are $24.  He will sign a maximum of three books per person and there are also companion tickets available.  

Segel is perhaps best known for his role as Marshall Eriksen in the hit CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother".  The series ran for 11 seasons and he appeared in 208 episodes. 

Early in Segel's career, he got a jumpstart by appearing in the cult classic show, "Freaks and Geeks".  He has become a staple on film as well, starring in films like "Forgetting Sarah Marshall", "Despicable Me" and "The Five-Year Engagement".  

One of Segel's most recent roles as David Foster Wallace in "The End of The Tour" has garnered him several independent film award nominations.  With all his success, it is no surprise that his Nightmares series of young adult novels has also become popular.
