There is plenty of buzz about USA Network's new comedy competition series "First Impressions". Some of the interest is certainly brewing due to actor Freddie Prinze Jr.'s attachment to the project.
Prinze Jr. is going to host the show that will debut May 10th at 10:30 p.m. It will feature top amateur impressionists in a weekly battle while voters across the country whittle down the field to pick a winner.
Dana Carvey is producing First Impressions while also serving as an "expert-in-residence" on the show. Comedians like Steve Carell and Jay Leno are also slated to make appearances during the season.
Prinze has been a star in film and television since the mid-1990's. Most would agree that his breakthrough came with the 1997 film "I Know What You Did Last Summer".
In 1999, Prinze won three Teen Choice Awards for his role in "She's All That", which also cemented his status as a Hollywood heartthrob. He has also been well known for playing the iconic character Fred in the "Scooby-Doo" film franchise.
In addition to acting in front of the camera, Prinze is a talented voice actor and has done work as a producer for World Wrestling Entertainment. He most recently has voiced a character in the popular "Star Wars Rebels" series.
