Adventure show host Bear Grylls knows a thing or so about testing one's limits.  Grylls hopes that the new center he helped open at a school outside London will do the same for students in the classroom.

Recently, he traveled to John O'Gaunt School in Hungerford to unveil the new $1.6 million Bear Grylls Inspiration Centre.  The center is fully equipped with thousands of books, TV screens, and IPads.

There are inspirational quotes and messages everywhere you look.  During Grylls visit, he also congratulated award-winning students that had succeeded in English, math, and array of other subjects.

Grylls himself is quite the success story as well.  He gained notoriety as host of the Discovery Channel program, Man vs. Wild, from 2006-2011.

The show originally started as Born Survivor: Bear Grylls on Channel 4 in the UK before gaining distribution in the U.S. and elsewhere around the world.  Grylls now hosts four different survival shows: Running Wild on NBC, The Island on Channel 4, Mission Survive on ITV, and Survivor Games on China's Dragon TV.

Other notable achievements for Grylls include being one of the youngest to ever scale Mount Everest at age 23 in 1998 and being appointed Britain's youngest Chief Scout in 2009.  In addition to his passion as an adventurer and career as a TV host, Grylls presents motivational speeches around the world and is active with several UK-based charities.
