Yamila was spotted by a modeling agency scout in Argentina where she was an Economics student. After this, she moved to Milan where she began her career as a model. Yamila started off by modeling for department store catalogues for several years.
In 1999, she appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Calendar, skyrocketing to model status. She also appeared in the 2000 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition with other well respected models.
Yamila went on to appear in Glamour, and Cosmopolitan, along with well known lingerie store, Victoria's Secret. She has since appeared in magazines worldwide, gracing the covers of Marie Claire, Elle, Max, GQ and Shape.
In addition to her extensive catalogue work for Newport News, Yamila is one of the newest 'Cover Girl' models and has also appeared in advertisements for Replay Jeans, 'Fleur de Diva' perfume, and 'Bio-Etyc' Italian cosmetics.
Yamila has recently been cast in an important movie role in an Italian feature film "Il pesce innamorato".
