She was also a member of the gold medal winning U.S. Soccer team in the 1996. Tiffeny scored 2 goals including the game-winning goal. Tiffeny is now playing for the WUSA. It is a new women's soccer league with eight teams. She plays for the New York Power.

Tiffeny grew up in Hillsboro, Oregon with her mom and older brother Mark. Tiffeny plays forward and still remembers the against China to capture the gold medal. In the 2000 Olympic games in Australia helped lead her team to a Silver Medal. the first goal she scored was she was eight years old. She played on local Portland club teams. She went to Portland High School and holds the record for most goals scored 54. She was invited to join the Olympic Development Program. She did so well that a scout invited her to join National Team when she was 16. She missed her high school graduation to travel to Bulgaria with the U-20 National Team.

In 1990 she enrolled at the University Of Portland and was named Portland's MVP in 1990. In 1991 she had 25 goals and 6 assists. In 1992 she was the national second leading scorer with 30 goals and 12 assists. In 1994 she led the nation with 30 goals and 8 assists. She was tied with Mia Hamm as the National Collegiate Athletic Association leading goal scorer in Division I colleges. That record has since been broken. She played in women's J-League in Japan in fall 1995 and 1996.

Tiffeny has one daily ritual, a visit to Starbucks. Her favorite coffee is a tall iced double latte. Tiffeny says, "I don't hear anything when I'm in the zone. The crowd, my teammates, nothing." Tiffeny's mom encouraged her to reach for the stars. Her mom always said, "With heart, you'll find a way." We think she has.
